Bartending Schools have never impressed me much, I felt that they were an inflated way to teach a bunch of recipes, and have the students practice a little and then send them off with a certification. As a matter of fact, when I owned 4 bars and restaurants years ago, I never did hire someone from a bartending school. When I semi-retired 9 years ago, I had been looking around for something to occupy my time when I was approached by the new owners of the National Bartenders School in Van Nuys, CA. They were emphatic about how they wanted to run their school and brought me in to raise the quality of training. I had been a Mixologist for 22 years and had bartended for every major VIP on the planet, so I knew what it would take to excel. For 9 years we did just that. On my 10th year, I moved my methods of training and higher standards to the Canyon Country location where we continue to train individuals to excel in this trade. I will match our certified students with any students at any school in the country....I can guarantee that our students will come out on top. |

This school has been a breath of fresh air in my crazy life. I have fun every class, and I feel much more accomplished as a bartender every time I leave. The instructors make it very pleasant and simple.
